Virtual workshops

Online workshops are an effective way of sharing coaching and support with people working remotely from their colleagues or from multiple business locations. My virtual workshops are available to book for groups of 12 people. I can also deliver them as a webinar for larger groups. There are currently three to choose from.

Communicating inclusively with remote teams

Communicating effectively and inclusively online with remote teams is challenging, not least because so many of the non-verbal cues we pick up when meeting face-to-face are absent. To keep the business moving and employees motivated, companies need to ensure that they are getting the most out of every virtual meeting.

In this 90-minute workshop participants:

  • Consider the meaning and value of communicating effectively and inclusively

  • Reflect on the importance and depth of deep-level diversity (what we don’t see on-screen)

  • Think about the impact of their words and how stress, fatigue and illness can bring implicit bias and unhelpful attitudes to the fore

  • Explore how to use body language and voice to bring content to life online

  • Leave with heightened awareness of what might be going on for others ‘behind the screen’
and practical ideas to help themselves and each other speak up in virtual meetings.

Working in remote teams

Those used to remote working find it a familiar, often comfortable way of life. But for those catapulted into it by Covid-19, it can pose significant practical, emotional and physical challenges. Now more than ever, people need strategies to keep themselves and their businesses moving whilst working from home.

In this 90-minute workshop participants:

  • Share with colleagues some of the challenges and benefits of remote working

  • Use Lencioni’s ‘The Five Behaviours of Cohesive Teams’ model to brainstorm ways to inspire trust, engage in productive conflict, give and gain commitment to decisions, hold themselves and others accountable and focus on collective results when working from home

  • Learn and exchange ideas on how to structure themselves and their interactions with others

  • Swap practical tips on how to stay connected and support each other long-term to reduce the risk of loneliness and isolation

  • Leave with practical tools and shared experiences that boost confidence, productivity and connection.

Managing remote teams

Managing remote teams can be challenging at the best of times. But the Covid-19 crisis adds uncertainty and complexity to the task. More than ever, companies, leaders and managers need strategies to keep their teams and their businesses moving forward whilst working from home.

In this 90-minute workshop team leaders and managers:

  • Share their experiences of managing remote teams

  • Use Lencioni’s ‘The Five Behaviours of Cohesive Teams’ model to brainstorm ways they can inspire trust, encourage productive conflict, gain commitment, hold themselves and their teams accountable, and focus on collective results when working remotely

  • Learn and exchange ideas on how to provide structure to their teams

  • Swap practical tips on how to keep their teams connected long-term to reduce the risk of loneliness and isolation

  • Leave with practical tools and shared experiences that boost their confidence, productivity and connection.
